Rogue Status x Arbor Snowboards

A little while back I wrote some not-so-nice things about Rogue Status, but today I take a lot of it back.

The collabo kings have teamed up with Arbor Snowboards to create a really beautiful looking board.

I just peeped it on Highsnobiety and I gotta admit, it’s nice.  I’m still not a huge fan of the gun-show graphic on the top of the board, but the bottom is clean and cool.  And for anyone that rides, you know the bottom has gotta look dope.  That’s what people see when you’re riding the lift or jumping.  The top is usually covered with snow or stickers or both.

Arbor has been around for a long time and their boards used to always just have wood finishes on them.  I always heard they were good boards, but they never really blew up as far as popuarity.  I think that’s because they never had graphics to appeal to younger, hipper riders; they didn’t look cool enough.  They looked like 60’s long boards.  I think this collab with RS will change their image a lot.

Rogue Status also teamed up with Mammoth Mtn. based Grenade Gloves recently to make some gun-show gloves.  The snowboard industry is huge and it’s definitely a smart move for a streetwear company to get in there and get their name known in that world.  Big things poppin’ (did I use that phrase right?) with Rogue Status.
